Small Estate Probate
Fee: $450.00
Small Estate Probate is used to transfer ownership of Nevada real property when the total value of the estate is less than $100,000 and qualifies as a small estate under Nevada law. The $450 flat fee includes preparation of the Petition to Set Aside Estate, Citation to Appear and Show Cause, Certificate of Mailing, Request for Submission, and Proposed Order, along with notary services, required court copies, and filing with the court. Court filing fees are not included and generally range from $0 to $250, depending on the value of the estate. Additional costs include certified mailing to heirs, billed at $10 per heir, and once the order is signed, a $37 Elko County Recorder’s fee is required to record the order, which serves as the transfer document placing the real property into the beneficiary’s name. This service is limited to small estate probate involving Nevada real property only and does not include vehicle transfers or personal property.
