Small Claims Case Preparation assists individuals in filing a claim for monetary damages up to $10,000, which is the current small claims limit in Nevada, including Elko County. The $350 flat fee includes preparation of the 10-Day Demand Notice, Certificate of Mailing, Small Claims Complaint, Affidavit, and attachment of any exhibits provided by the client in support of the claim, along with notary services, required court copies, and filing with the court. The plaintiff is required to appear in court for the hearing, as representation is not provided. Court filing fees are not included and vary depending on the amount of damages being requested. This service is limited to document preparation and filing and does not include legal advice or court representation.

An Answer to a Small Claims Case is filed by the respondent to formally respond to a small claims complaint and present defenses to the court. The $250 flat fee includes preparation of the Answer, attachment of any exhibits provided by the respondent, notary services, certified mailing to the opposing party, required court copies, and filing with the court, even if the respondent resides outside the area. The respondent is required to appear in court for the hearing, as representation is not provided. If the respondent needs to appear telephonically, a Motion to Appear Telephonically may be filed at an additional cost.
